Dr Peter Shelton BSc Hons (Accredited Podiatrist)
Peter is the founder and Director of Coastal Podiatry.
Peter graduated from his home town university of Huddersfield, England with an Honors degree in Podiatry. As an ex-professional Rugby League player Peter has a special interest in lower limb pain and human movement. With over a decade of private practice experience in all areas of lower limb health Peter’s main focus is on musculoskeletal conditions affecting the lower limb and in particular the foot and ankle.
As an Accredited Podiatrist Peter is dedicated to lifelong learning and has traveled the world to gain the most up to date knowledge from leading figures within the medical world to provide highly effective research based treatment protocols. Peter is a highly regarded figure in his field and works with many elite athletes and professional sporting teams on the coast.
As such Peter has access to many of the Coasts best medical practitioners, Sports doctors and physios.
Peter is happy to see patients from all walks of life from retirees to children.
Peter is an attendee at regular conferences on Sports Medicine and Regenerative Medicine, bringing the latest research and evidence based treatments to his practice.
He holds memberships with Sports Medicine Australia, Australian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine, Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
