Accelerate Healing with Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is proving to be an extremely effective treatment for many chronic musculoskeletal injuries which are usually associated with overuse in sports. However, in reality many musculoskeletal injuries can be brought about through simple, everyday tasks such as work related activities.
Many of the aging population are also prone to musculoskeletal injury and may also greatly benefit from such treatment.
How Shockwave can help
Shockwave therapy is the latest technology used to treat pain available at Coastal Foot & Leg Clinic. It is an effective treatment for many kinds of musculoskeletal pain and can reduce the tenderness of soft tissue injuries in just a few days and in many instances even instantly.
Shock wave therapy involves the application of high energy extracorporeal Shockwaves through the surface of the skin to accelerate the healing process, dramatically, reducing pain and promoting healing.
The body responds with increased metabolic activity at the site of the pain, stimulating and accelerating the healing process.
Who can benefit from Shockwave therapy?
Shockwave therapy is used successfully in sports medicine and in daily medical practice worldwide. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated in a multitude of clinical studies. We use Shockwave therapy on elite, international athletes through to retirees suffering with debilitating chronic pain and everyone in-between.
With no negative side effects, injections or medications needed, you will be back on your feet in no time.
